After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt: My most absurd personal experience is when I was walking my dog one night. We got approached by a wild fox in the middle of the night. I was trying to remain calm and not startle it at all. It didn't seem to be afraid and was sort of friendly. I personally thought it was just curious, but then my dog started to lunge at it and I had to get involved. Looking back, I made the bad decision to let go of my dog's leash and start to try and chase the fox away. Somehow it worked, but I can see now how bad it could've gone.

Summary: Today we read and annotated a new poem.

Reflection: I learned how to better annotate a poem.

Prompt: Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt: In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?
