 Prompt: I've adapted to the demands of this course by understanding what I need to do to make sure I'm able to comprehend and understand everything I need to in this course. One strength I anticipate as we progress is my understanding of all the vocabulary to grow since I usually am strong with vocabulary. For example, last year I took AP Psychology and we would get almost 80 vocabulary words a month to hand write, but once I did hand write them I was able to understand almost all of them without having to learn them again. One challenge I anticipate is not reading whatever stories or books we have to read and falling behind on those. Last year in my Lit class I barely read any of the books we read and just hoped I would be able to keep up with the class.

Summary: Today we took our Origin Myth Quiz and had a level 3 lockdown.

Reflection: I learned how to effectively analyze a question and their answers and how to choose the best answer.

 Prompt: One moment when I had to step out of my comfort zone was during a class presentation. I had always been nervous about speaking in front of people, but this time I volunteered to go first. My hands were shaking, but I took a deep breath and focused on what I had practiced. As I spoke, I started to feel more confident and noticed my classmates paying attention. By the end, I was proud that I faced my fear and stepped up. Summary: Today we wrote a claim on writable for a short story called Ambush. Reflection: I learned about this guys war experience.

 Prompt: I once had to tell my friend that I needed space to focus on schoolwork. We used to hang out every day, but my grades were starting to drop. At first, she was upset and thought I didn’t want to be friends anymore. After a while, she understood and respected my decision. Setting that boundary actually made our friendship stronger because we learned to respect each other’s needs. Summary: Today we did a common lit.
